The property is on 1.5 acres of wooded land with approximately
700' of shoreline. Hanscom Lake is approximately 127 acres with a maximum depth of 11 feet. Fishing is excellent with
the lake producing Northern, Bass, and Pan fish. There are frogs, turtles and little sun-fish along the beach area. We have
a large sand beach and a small swimming area for those who like to get wet, and a nice fire pit. The property is wooded
land and has an abundant wildlife population. We get visits from deer, raccoons, birds, eagles, chipmunks, and even an
occasional bear down the road.
There
are many places to eat like Lunkers Lodge (formerly Roamers Inn), or the Voyager Village Country Club. At Voyager they also
have a full golf course, putt putt golf, a swimming pool, and a little playground. In nearby small towns there are stores
to stop at, and Webb lake has a little ice cream shop. There are 3 casinos nearby Hole-in-the-Wall, LCO, and Grand Casino
(Hinckley, MN 45min. Drive).
You can also bike, hike, 4-wheel, swim, fish, and take a walk. About 1/2 hour away
there is a bigger town called Siren, with a movie theater and more shops. There are strawberry, raspberries, blackberries,
and blueberry picking starting in July through Aug and into September about 1/2 hour away. You can rent a canoe or inner-tube
and go to the Namekogon River or St. Croix. And there are thousands of acres of county, state and federal land
with wildlife viewing areas.
